As a global movement with one vision, we want a world free of corruption. Through chapters in more than 100 countries and an international secretariat in Berlin, we are leading the fight against corruption to turn this vision into reality.

TI was established in Berlin in 1993, by just a few individuals with one shared vision: a world in which government, business, civil society and the daily lives of people are free of corruption. In 2003, the Mongolian TI chapter was established with the same passion and drive to deliver anti-corruption movements to the Mongolian people. It is now 2018, and TI is present in over 100 countries, now celebrating 25 years of corruption fighting.

TI’s most influential achievement is its Corruption Perception Index or CPI. The CPI is the go-to reference point for decision-makers, companies and journalists, making it impossible for leaders to ignore the problem. The index, which ranks 180 countries and territories by their perceived levels of public sector corruption according to experts and business people, uses a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean. As you can see, Mongolia scores only 36 out of 100, ranked 103 out of 180 countries. Last year, New Zealand and Denmark rank highest, with Syria, South Sudan and Somalia ranking lowest.
